Man slits his throat in front of Lover’s home

NPnews24 online : Kolkata – An 18-year-old laborer allegedly slit his throat with a knife on Thursday night. The police said Amarjeet Jaiswal (18) was having an affair with a 39-year-old married woman.

Around 11:30 pm, Jaiswal who stayed in Burtolla area went in front in front of the women’s residence armed with a knife, allegedly in an inebriated condition. He threatened to murder the woman and her husband. The drama continued for over 40 minutes, but people who gathered around him didn’t call the cops.

Around 12:40 am, the victim’s elder sister intervened. “As she tried to snatch the knife away, Jaiswal pushed her on the road and slit his own throat.

At around 1:00 am,  four passers-by saw the man bleeding profusely and informed cops, who took him to the hospital. The doctors there declared him dead,” said a Police officer.
