Kamgar Bhushan Puraskar to be presented to Mohan Gopal Gaikwad of Tata Motors

MUMBAI : NpNews24 Online  – Gunwant Kamgar Puraskar | Labour Minister Dr Suresh Khade has announced the 2021-22 labour awards on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labour Day. The Best Worker Award (Kamgar Bhushan Puraskar) will be given to Mohan Gopal Gaikwad, a worker employed at Tata Motors Limited in Pimpri. (Gunwant Kamgar Puraskar)

 

Fifty one labourers have been selected for Best Labourer Award. The announcement of the awards was made at Ramkrishna More auditorium at Chinchwad during the state-level labourers award programme.

The Maharashtra Kamgar Kalyan Mandal honours workers who are actively involved in various fields like social, cultural, educational, sports from 1970 to encourage them. Fifty one workers who are registered with the Maharashtra Kamgar Kalyan Mandal and employed with a company for five years, are honoured with ₹25,000, letter, medal and insignia. After getting an award, a worker who makes special contribution in 10 years, is selected for Kamgar Bhushan Award. He is presented with ₹50,000, letter, insignia and medal.

 

The labour minister had instructed the administration to announce the awards on the Labour Day. Accordingly, interviews were conducted and other formalities were completed and the winners were announced. The prize distribution function will be held in Mumbai.

 

Labour Minister Dr Khade announced that the emoluments given to part time labourers has been increased by ₹1,000. This will benefit 395 part time workers employed in mandal’s stitching, library etc.

 

MP Shrirang Barne, MLA Uma Khapre, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Chief Secretary of Labour Department Vinita Vaid Singal, Labour commissioner Satish Deshmukh, Secretary of Maharashtra Building and Other Workers Welfare Board Vivek Kumbhar, Commissioner of Maharashtra Building and Other Workers Welfare Board Raviraj Ilwe, Addl Labour Commissioner of Pune Division Shailendra Pol, Addl Labour Commissioner of Konkan Division Shireen Lokhande, Director of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health MR Patil and Director of Steam Boilers DP Antapurkar were present.
