Husband was in Love with a girl, murdered wife on Karva Chauth

GURUGRAM : NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Supreme Court’s adultery verdict given recently is known to all. But, it seems lot of people are taking the verdict wrong. As, in a dreadful incident, husband crossed all the levels of cruelty and murdered his wife.

The incident took place in Gurugram, Chandigarh. After 32-year old wife came to know about her husband’s extra marital affair, he got panicked that she would confront  his lover about his affair and pushed her off the 8^th floor of their flat.

The name of the deceased is Deepika Chauhan and the accused husband’s name is Vikram Chauhan. Gurugram Police has arrested Vikram on the charges of murdering his wife.

The incident took place on the day of Karva Chauth which is celebrated on October 27 and according to Hindu culture, the festival is all about the beauty of relationship between a couple. On this festival, the Indian women break their fast by getting a glimpse of their husband’s face. Deepika was waiting for Vikram to come home and break her fast and called Vikram after he did not return for a long time.

After calling him several times he did not pick up his phone and when he returned home, his wife started questioning him about his whereabouts. The conversation turned into a argument and they started fighting. The neighbours came out of their homes and tried to calm the situation but all attempts failed. Then later Deepika told Vikram she would confront his girlfriend about it which got Vikram tensed and after getting scared he went to the balcony and pushed his wife off the 8^th floor of the building which led to the spot death of Deepika.

According to police, after the duo had a fight, Vikram pushed his wife and planned to make it look like a suicide, which was proved out to be false. As soon as they got information about this, they reached the spot, started inquiring the suspect and tried to find a link which led to Deepika’s suicidal death but could not find any.

Later, when the checked Vikram’s cell phone, they found call records with a blog writer named Shefali Bhansi who the police suspected to be his girlfriend. When the police called the lovers they were sceptical of the duo’s movements. The  neighbours acted as witness of the incident. And, Vikram has confessed his crime and out of guilt has been arrested.
