Girl commits suicide for not taking Diwali shopping

NAGPUR: NPNEWS24 ONLINE- A 21-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself for not taking her to Diwali shopping. The incident took place in the old Babulkheda area of Vasantnagar on Tuesday morning. The people are expressing sadness in the area.

Payal Duttraj Karadbhajne is the name of the deceased girl. She was studying at Dhanvate College and she was in the second year of BCom (CS).  Her father Dattaraj Karadbhajne is a farmer. Their farm is at Parsala.

Dattaraj along with his wife, daughter and son went to the market for doing Diwali shopping on Monday. ‘You always shop online, see your favourite clothes online now also,’ said by Dattaraj to Payal. Then Karadbhajne family went for shopping.

Payal got saddened because her father didn’t took her for shopping. On Tuesday, she committed suicide by hanging herself in her room. Dattaraj called her when Payal did not come out of the room. No response received for some time. When he looked inside of room through the window, he saw that Payal had hanged herself. Then they broke the door.

Ajni Police have been informed about the incident. As soon as the Police got information about this, the Ajni Police force reached there. After doing Pachanama, the body sent to the medical college hospital for post-mortem. Ajni police registered an accidental death and started further investigations.
