Sardar Patel had banned the RSS: Congress claim

NEW DELHI: NPNEWS24 ONLINE- Today is the 143rd birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is being celebrated across the country. Congress tweeted, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the first Home Minister of independent India. He had strongly opposed the RSS. Patel had said that the activities of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were anti-national in 1984. As well as he called RSS as an anti-national organization. “Congress also shared photographs of the printed newspaper material of that time in this tweet.

 

What PM Modi said after the inauguration:

‘If Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was not there, then Shiva devotees had required VISA (Visitors International Stay Admission) to visit Somnath and to see Charminar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that if you remember Patel’s work, you will feel proud of him. After the inauguration of the statue of Loh Purush (iron man)Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as ‘statue of unity’, the Prime Minister interacted with the attendees.

 

At this time, he remembered the work of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. “Today, India has not only created history but has worked as a motivator for the future. Today the whole country is celebrating National Unity Day. The youth of the country are doing ‘Run for Unity’. This is an important moment for India. This is a moment to give a great place to a great personality in history. This is a new history for the whole of India,” said by PM Modi.
