Fuel price slides down for the straight 6th day in India, here are the latest rates  

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – Petrol, diesel prices saw another big cut on Tuesday after which petrol prices fell below Rs 80 per litre mark in Mumbai for the first time after March 2018. Today fuel prices were cut by 40-45 paise per litre across major cities of the country.

After today’s price cut, non-branded petrol in national capital Delhi was priced at Rs 74.07 as against Rs 74.49 on Monday and diesel was retailing at Rs 68.89 compared to Rs 69.29 yesterday, according to data available on Indian Oil Corporation website. The price of diesel in Mumbai on November 27 was Rs 72.13 per litre, the lowest in almost four months.

In Delhi, the price of petrol per litre was Rs 74.07 and that of diesel was Rs 68.89 per litre on November 27. In other metropolitan cities such as Chennai and Kolkata, the price of petrol per litre was Rs 76.88 and Rs 76.06, respectively. The price of diesel in the two cities was Rs 72.77 and Rs 70.74 per litre, respectively.

The rates of the fuel across India have been slashing due to the slip in the prices of crude oil prices. The United States recently softened its stand on Iran’s sanctions and given nod to eight oil countries to continue to import oil from Tehran temporarily. The list includes India, China, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan.
