A new turn in Nana Tanushree #MeToo case, eyewitness Daisy Shaha’s statement to be recorded

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE –Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta kick-started the #MeToo movement in India by levelling allegations against Nana Patekar, that he sexually harassed her on the sets of Horn OK Please in 2008 and when she turned down his unruly advances, he called up goons from a political party and vandalised her car and even threatened her with dire consequences.

In the latest development, actress Daisy has been summoned by the Mumbai Police to record her statement as she was the assistant choreographer for the said song.

It is being said that Daisy Shah was working as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Acharya too, has been accused of sexual harassment by Dutta, and in his notice, he, however, refused all the allegations. Patekar too, went on to outright deny any such allegations while his lawyer told that the allegations against him are far from being the truth. The producer and director too, have been accused of sexual misconduct on the sets of the film. However, they too, have denied the allegations.

Daisy had narrated back when the allegations first surfaced how she knew that there was something wrong, and that something had happened on the 3rd day of the shoot. She was quoted as saying,” My job was to give Tanushree the steps, make her learn them and then help her execute. Now what Tanushree has said that I and she had a great rapport. Yes, because we rehearsed for 3-4 days before shooting song and on the sets also for first 2 days everything went very swiftly and on the third day something happened which I am not aware of but Tanushree, being a woman, she has come out and she has said that this is what she has gone through. So I totally sympathize with her.”

However, Patekar has refused the allegations against him. Patekar’s lawyer Aniket Nikam, told, “All allegations against him (Nana Patekar) are false and far from the truth”.
