Former deputy sarpanch of Bhiwari village was shot dead by 8-9 persons due to past enmity.

The deceased has been identified as Santosh Bhau Sadhu Dalvi. Police said that assailants and deceased are from same village.

Officials from the Saswad police station and Local Crime Branch (LCB) under Pune rural police are investigating the case.
