Five people arrested from Nana Peth and Raviwar Peth for terrorising people with sickles

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | The police have arrested five people who were terrorising people with sickles in Nava Wada area under the Samarth police station. More than four of their accomplices have absconded and a police team is searching for them. (Pune Crime News)

The arrested have been identified as Gagan Amrik Singh Mission (19), Aman Yusuf Khan (22), both from Nana Peth, Arsalan Tamboli (27), Mangesh Kailas Chavan (24) and Ganesh Prakash Pawar (27), all three from Raviwar Peth. Their accomplices Kunal Raul, Swapneel Shinde, Sujal Tapre, Mayur Thorat and others have escaped. The police are searching for them.

Some people had quarrelled with each other early in the morning on January 1. As a fallout of that dispute, some criminals started terrorising in the Nava Wada area with sickles. As soon as a case was registered, the Samarth police started tracking the accused. API Prasad Lonare, PSI Saurabh Mane and the investigation team started checking the criminals on record in the area. The police team arrested five people while the search for their accomplices is on.

A team comprising Sr PI Ramesh Sathe, PI (Crime) Pramod Waghmare, API Prasad Lonare, PSI Saurabh Mane, Police Constables Hemant Perne, Dattatray Bhosale, Ganesh Waikar, Pramod Jagtap, Rohidas Waghire, Subhash Pingle, Rahim Shaikh, Kalyan Borade and Shyam Suryavanshi took the action under the guidance of ACP Satish Govekar.
