Elderly man arrested for molesting minor girl

A 68-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl who used to go to his house for tuition classes. Based on a complaint from the victim’s mother, Yerwada police station has arrested the accused.

According to police, the incident took place from September 25 to 27 at the accused’s house in Navi Khadki locality of Yerwada. She had gone to get books from the terrace when the accused molested her.

Police have booked the accused person for offenses under sections 354 (outraging modesty of the woman), 354a (sexual harassment), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 7,8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
