DY Patil University: Different sessions on second day of Honhaar Bharat conclave

Pune: Different useful sessions held on second day of Honhaar Bharat2024 conference organised by DY Patil University Ambi, Pune.

Ajay Awale, IT Head, Aquafarm Chemicals, Paresh Parekh, MD, Autofina Ltd. UK, Bhushan Patil, Founder and Investor, Mutiply Ventures, Ms. Ignacia Tribhuvan, VP, BNY Mellon Kiran Vaidya, MD, Auto Ckuster Pune, Mr. Advait Kurlekar, CEO, Upohan Consultants, Eklavya Malhotra, an author, Ms. Neha Shirole, Director, Natasha Fin Tubes,Subhash Patwardhan, MD, Artech Welders and Mr. Rohit DubePatil, Director, Orah Nutrichem were participated.

Prof. Dr. Sayalee Gankar, Vice Chancellor, DYPU and Col. Sunil Bhosale, Director-Startegy felicitated all the dignitaries for their presence and motivating the students.

The journey continued on the second day of “Honhar Bharat 2.0” on 9th Feb. 2024. It started with a Welcome Address by Col. Sunil Bhosale, Director Strategy followed by Sarasvati Poojan and Guru Vandana.

Mr. Dinesh Nathani gave the first Power Talk. He started his speech saying “More you Learn – More you earn”. He suggested audience to become “Fearless”. He also gave his thoughts on TEN Senses. All humans have TEN Senses.

Wing Cdr. Shivprasad Randad gave the second Power Talk on “Atmanirbharta in Aviation”. He briefed the audience about the Aviation Industry that is dominated by USA and Russian companies. He also briefed the students about size of Indian Air Force (IAF). It is the 4th largest Air Force in the world. He mentioned the Variety of Assets in IAF. He emphasised that since most of the assets are imported, we need to develop high value Defence equipment in India. He also mentioned how Government, Industry and Academia are collaborating together to execute projects.

First Panel Discussions was on “Social Development in India: Opportunities and Challenges”. Mr. Paresh Parekh spoke about how much Research is important in India. He talked about women inclusion in MSME. We need to develop public speaking skills and social skills among students. Mr. Sankalp Sinha talked about India’s vision on how MSME can contribute 50% in GDP. Mr. Pranav Kawale talked about Women Empowerment in Engineering and Manufacturing. Dr. Anant Sadeshmukh talked about opportunities in Rural and Tribal India. Social Index can be enhanced by taking care of Rural and Tribal India.

Mr. Sankalp Sinha started his third Power Talk by explaining and defining “Sustainability”. He said Digitization, Regulatory norms, Climate change & Carbon emissions and Paradigm shift of customer is leading towards Sustainability. He also gave examples how to optimise Energy by smart charging that will lead to Sustainability.

Second Panel Discussions was on “Youth & Mind-set Shift: Embracing long term Development Strategies”. Ms. Ignasia Tribhuvan spoke about the youngster’s mind-set towards Banking and Financial Services sector. Mr. Dhananjay Shedbale talked about importance of Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Adaptive Quotient (AQ). Mr. Kiran Vaidya briefed about how Auto Cluster Pune is helping SME to create prototype in their Incubation Centre. Mr. Ajay Awale said that youngsters should be motivated with positive comparisons. Mr. Bhushan Patil spoke about youngsters should have an Entrepreneurial mind-set, constant learning, Evolve yourself, Question the business problem.

The Post Lunch session started with Prof. Revan Kalekar doing a welcome address and introducing the guests to the audience. Prof. Shraddha Samudra giving a brief about the topic – “Viksit Bharat-Driven by Youth India”.

Mr. Eklavya Malhotra, an author by profession did a Book review on “I came upon a Lighthouse: A Short Memoir of Life with Ratan Tata”. The book was about Mr. Shantanu Naidu and his uncommon friendship, mutual love and respect with Mr. Ratan Tata.

Third Panel Discussion was on the topic “Viksit Bharat – Driven by Youth India”. All the Panel Members Ms. Neha Shirole, Director, Natasha Fin Tubes, Mr. Subhash Patwardhan, MD, Artech Welders and Mr. Rohit DubePatil, Director, Orah Nutrichem have an Entrepreneurship background and they shared their interesting Entrepreneurial journey. The challenges faced during the initial days of Business, setting up the processes and growth stories were shared with the audience.

Prof. Dr. Pranav Charkha, Dean (SOET) and Mr. Advait Kurlekar, CEO, Upohan Consultants have moderated the sessions for today. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Malayaj Kumar and Prof. Durgesh Kulkarni.
