Pune: FIR registered against journalist Nikhil Wagle for his insulting tweet against Bharat Ratna LK Advani

PUNE: The Vishrambaug police have registered an FIR against journalist Nikhil Wagle for his insulting and objectionable tweet against Bharat Ratna and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani.

A complaint (26/24) has been lodged by BJP leader Sunil Deodhar (58), a resident of Narayan Peth. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu had congratulated Advani for being conferred Bharat Ratna.

Reacting to this, Nikhil Wagle had made an objectionable comment in his tweet. Hence, the feelings of admirers of Advani were hurt and created an obstacle in unity in society. The complaint states that the tweet was made viral which tries to disturb peace in society and is aimed at tarnishing Advani’s reputation.
