Corona Declared an Epidemic, India Suspended Visas of Foreign Returnees

New Delhi : The World Health Organization has also declared the corona virus as an epidemic in China, Iran and Italy. India has suspended the visa of people coming from abroad till April 15 in view of Corona virus. This ban will give leave to diplomats, officers, employees of the United Nations and international organizations. This ban will come into force from 13 March 2020.

The government has also said that Indian citizens are strictly advised not to take unnecessary foreign trips. If they travel back from anywhere, then they can be kept away from people for at least 14 days.

The World Health Organization has said, ‘According to our assessment, COVID-19 is now an epidemic. Health organizations are concerned about the spread of this virus. It is reaching a dangerous level.

It has been said on behalf of the government that whichever foreign person wishes to come to India, first contact the Indian Embassy. All Indian citizens and foreign nationals are instructed not to travel unnecessarily if not very important. If they come to India, they can be kept under separate surveillance from people for 14 days.

62 positive cases of corona virus in India
Corona virus has also engulfed India. There are also 62 patients infected with COVID-19 in India. The Ministry of Health is also on alert mode on the corona virus. Several rounds of meetings are being held continuously in the Ministry of Health. Actually, a meeting was called in the ministry on Corona virus. Several Union ministers, including Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Hardeep Singh Puri, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey were present in this meeting held on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan. This decision has been taken only after the meeting.

Foreign travelers will be under observation for 14 days!
Those Indian or foreign travelers who stayed in China, Italy, Iran, Korea, France, Spain and Germany till 15 February, will be kept under separate medical supervision for at least 14 days upon arrival in India. This system will be implemented from 13 March onwards.

Restrictions on ground borders also apply
According to the order issued by the Government of India, movement under international boundaries will also be monitored at fixed check posts. Screening will be done at every check post. This will be notified separately by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
