Boy dies of electrocution after hitting electric pole while cycling

In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old boy was killed when he hit an electric pole while cycling in Warje-Malwadi on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Prithviraj Chavan, a resident of Warje Malwadi.

According to police, the boy fell down due to electric shock after hitting the pole. Later the boy died. The incident has sent shockwave in the area. It is suspected that due to some fault electricity was present in the pole. Now the body has been taken to Sassoon hospital for post-mortem. Senior police officials had visited the spot after the incident. Warje Malwadi police are investigating this matter further.

Prithviraj studied in class 6th in Rosary school. He was brilliant in studies.
