According to Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhary, in the first phase- Pakistan Government has auctioned 70 luxury cars, 4 Mercedes Benz cars, 8 bulletproof BMWs, 3 SUV cars of five thousand CC (cubic centimeters), 2 SUV cars of three thousand CC and 24 Mercedes Benz cars of the year 2016.

In the second phase- 40 Toyota cars, Lexus SUVs and two Land Cruisers will be auctioned. Many cars are far from luxury and are purchased in around the year 1985.

Mixed reactions have been coming from buyers. Some buyers said that they didn’t mind paying extra money for purchasing these cars as the generated money will be utilized for the betterment of their country. All these activities are done under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s finance campaign.

Pakistan has a debt of 30 billion rupees and if the debt continues to grow, Pakistan’s economy will become worse. If the situation does not improve then the country might become bankrupt.

After selling these luxurious cars for generating funds, now Imran Khan’s Government is thinking to turn state-owned buildings into Universities, reducing the VIP security protocol as well as cutting the air conditioners from government offices.
