Are you consuming raw vegetables? Beware, as Fenugreek leaves took woman’s life!

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- In a bizarre incident, a woman had to lose her life after she consumed raw leaves of Fenugreek which caused food poisoning.

The name of the deceased woman is Anjubai Patil residing in the village of Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. The matter came into light after her autopsy report was made available. This incident has caused a fear and panic among the people of the area.

Reason of poisoning and later death coming up is due to the chemicals in pesticides and fertilizers used for spraying during the plantation of the Fenugreek seeds.

Four days ago, the deceased had consumed a vegetable made of Fenugreek leaves. She had purchased the leaves from the market and then later consumed them raw. Ignoring the fact, what improper washing and consuming of raw fenugreek leaves could do to a human’s life, the woman consumed it.

According to the people of Dharangaon, she along with other two women also consumed the leaves which has created a chaos in the whole village.

People like healthy diet in their daily routine and prefer to consume raw green leaves but washing them is a necessity as improper washing of leaves can lead to various health hazards and even deaths.

The consumption of toxic chemicals in pesticides used during farming might lead to risks of cancer, prove dangerous to young and pregnant women, kidney disorders and various other diseases.

With the increase in competition in the agricultural and farming sector, more and more amount of pesticides and fertilizers are used to grow more crops in short span of time.

Hence, more chemicals are used for the speedy growth of the plants and to increase the productivity in short time which then causes food poisoning inside the stomach is the consumer is not really alert.
The better part is, demand for goods produced through organic farming is increasing in the world’s progressive nation now to avoid the diseases caused by farming with increased use of chemicals.

This fatal incident of Jalgaon is a perfect example of what a person’s ignorance related to health issues and not taking precautionary measures can cause. It is a lesson to all the people out there.
