An all-inclusive, uniform policy to be formulated on SARTHI Pune’s education and other facilities soon, says State Minister Chandrakant Patil

Mumbai : NpNews24 Online  – SARTHI Pune | The state government is positive about providing education and other related facilities to Maratha students. A meeting will soon be held to formulate an all-inclusive, uniform policy to provide such education and training through SARTHI, Pune, BARTI, TRTI and MahaJyoti. This was revealed by Higher and Technical Minister Chandrakant Patil. (SARTHI Pune)

 

He was speaking during a meeting of a sub-committee of the state cabinet formed under his chairmanship to look into the Maratha reservations.

 

State Revenue Minister Radhkrishna Vikhe Patil, Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan, Annasaheb Patil Financial Corporation Chairman and former MLA Narendra Patil, MLA Bharat Gogawale, Higher and Technical Education Chief Secretary Vikaschandra Rastogi, General Administration Secretary Sumant Bhange, Law and Justice Chief Secretary Dhote, Annasaheb Patil Financial Development Corporation Managing Director Mangesh Mohite, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Resource Development Institute (SARTHI) Chairman Ajit Nimbalkar (by videoconferencing), and its MD Ashok Kakade were present.

 

Minister Chandrakant Patil said, “A meeting will be held next week with the chairpersons and MDs of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Mahatma Jotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (MahaJyoti), Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Resource Development Institute (SARTHI) and Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI). The meeting will discuss bringing about a uniformity in the educational and training facilities provided by these institutions.”

 

He said, “Building of hostels for Maratha students at district places will be expedited. A decision will be taken about students, who do not get the hostel facility, to provide them Rs 6,000 per month for 10 months. The process to give returns on interest of loans under the scheme being implemented by the Annasaheb Patil Financial Development Corporation will be completed within a week.”

 

Patil added that the proposal to file the curative petition before the Supreme Court is in the final stage.
