ACB arrest Nashik talathi for taking bribe

Nashik: Sleuths from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here have arrested Harish Lasmanna Atwar, a talathi from Shivde on Monday for allegedly taking Rs 1,500 as bribe from a person for making entry in the 7/12 extract.

A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Jadhav caught Atwar red-handed while taking the money near Lucky Tea Stall at Sangamner Naka in Sinnar.

“The complainant had approached the talathi office in the village for making the entries of his mother and uncle of these plots in the 7/12 extract,” the official said.
