Video: Huge Outrage in Pune as Video of Teacher Beating Student Goes Viral

Pune: A disturbing incident has surfaced in Pune where a school student was subjected to a brutal beating by a teacher, sparking outrage among residents. The incident, captured on a mobile phone, has led to a complaint being lodged against the teacher at Vishrambaug police station, with demands for strict action from the aggrieved parents.

The shocking incident occurred at Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya (NMV) School, located in Appa Balwant Chowk on Bajirao Road in Pune. Reportedly, a ninth-grade student was creating a disturbance in the classroom, prompting the teacher to react angrily and administer severe punishment in front of the entire class. Students captured the ordeal on their mobile phones, and the video has since gone viral on social media platforms, eliciting widespread condemnation from Pune residents.

In the viral footage, the student, clad in khaki pants and a white shirt, can be seen sitting on the floor as the teacher repeatedly strikes him with her hands and legs. Despite the student’s pleas for mercy, the teacher continues to physically assault him, twisting his hand and slapping him across the face. The distressing nature of the video has stirred public outrage and raised concerns about the safety and well-being of students in educational institutions.

The parents of the student were shocked and appalled upon viewing the video, prompting them to take immediate action. They swiftly approached the Vishrambaug police station and filed a formal complaint against the teacher. Demanding justice for their child, the parents emphasised the gravity of the situation, calling for the dismissal of the teacher from her position. It has also come to light that this is not an isolated incident, as the teacher has allegedly resorted to similar acts of violence against other students in the past.
