The day, 5 September is the day when all the teachers are paid tribute to! This day is marked as the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was favorite among all the students. The students are the most excited group on this day as they get an opportunity to dedicate one single day for the teachers and celebrate it.

There’s a notable similarity between the two professions. Like a teacher, a police also works for the betterment of the nation. They both take the stand with what is right.

In Pune’s Mundhwa police station, Teacher’s Day was celebrated in a very unusual way. In which, there were constables appointed for every school from the nearby police station. These constables are called Police Kaka which means ‘Police Uncle’.

Under this initiative taken by Mundhwa Police station, Police constables visited more than 11 schools of the area and gifted a greeting to the Principal of the schools. And, these greeting cards were prepared with great efforts taken by the new police commissioner Dr. K Venkatesham.
