Two pythons rescued

Agra, Jan 7 (IANS)- Two big pythons, one 12 feet and another nine feet long, were rescued on Monday from village Jainpura in Fatehpur Sikri area in Uttar Pradesh.

A team of Forest Department officials and Wildlife SOS transferred the reptiles to the rescue centre.

Baiju Raj M.V., Director Conservation Projects, Wildlife SOS, said: “The 12-foot-long python weighs some 30 kilos and its sheer size made the rescue operation more challenging. The other python weighs 18 kilos. They were in good health and released back in to the wild.”
