‘That’ woman IPS officer transferred suddenly for Anti-Dalit statement

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- The woman IPS officer who made controversial statement like, ‘I have beaten 21 Dalits and Muslims very hard. I used to beat more if somebody came for filing  case of Atrocity’. For making such statement, IPS Officer Bhagyashree Navtakke of Majalgaon have been transferred suddenly. A video of allegedly making anti-Dalit statement by lady IPS officer is going viral on social media, and Dalit community demanded to take immediate action on her.

This statement has led to outrage of the Dalit community and they were demanding action against her. By following their demand, immediate action have been taken on Navtakke and now she has been transferred her Aurangabad.

Before this action, Beed district Superintendent of Police Shridhar Govindarajan had ordered an inquiry against the IPS officer following complaint of local Dalit organization in the case.

Bahujan Vikas Morcha president Baburao Potbhare had warned that he would go to court if the case is not filed against her by Monday. Apart from this, Baburao Potbhare had also demanded to file a complaint against Bhagyashree Navtakke under Atrocity Act and suspend her from police service.

The video shows her confessing about the ways in which she used to beat Dalits and Muslims in false cases. After this video gets viral, all sections of society are being criticized her statements.

In the viral Video, Majalgaon’s woman Deputy Superintendent of police, Bhagyashree Navtakke is seen in a discussion with some members of the Maratha community. Members of the Maratha community had met her to get help in cases filed under the Atrocity Act.
