Sharad Pawar announces he is going to retire from the post of NCP President
MUMBAI : Policenama online – NCP Chief Sharad Pawar | NCP President Sharad Pawar made a big announcement at a book release function at YB Chavan Centre. He announced that he is going to retire from the post of NCP President. “I will remain in politics only for three years. Meanwhile, NCP activists became agitated and there was chaos in the auditorium. The activists urged Sharad Pawar to change his mind and raised slogans. Ajit Pawar spoke to the activists and told them that the committee’s decision will be acceptable to Sharad Pawar and asked them not to create chaos.
“The committee will consist of NCP leaders and members. I and Supriya Sule will also be a part of the committee. Sharad Pawar has understood your feelings and accordingly, the committee will take a suitable decision,” Ajit Pawar said. Sharad Pawar mentioned the probable list of members of the committee and he also spoke about old memories.
Sharad Pawar has instructed that Prafful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, KK Sharma, PC Chako, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil, Supriya Sule, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse Patil, Anil Deshmukh, Rajesh Tope, Jitendra Awhad, Hassan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Jaidev Gaikwad, Fouzia Khan, Dheeraj Sharma, Sonia Duhan. The committee will take a decision about the president of the party. Sharad Pawar said he hoped that the committee will suggest steps to strengthen the party, spread its ideology and convey to the people about the party’s aims and objectives.
