Senior citizen cheated by taking signature on sale deed instead of leave and licence agreement
PUNE : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein a senior citizen was cheated by taking his signature on a sale deed while telling him that his land was being taken on rent for hotel business and grabbing a prime land at Pimpri Sandas. (Pune Crime News)
Khanderao Genba Bhorde (74), a resident of Pimpri Sandas, has lodged a complaint (345/23) at the Lonikand police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Nitin Ankush Memane (42), Asha Nitin Memane (40), Akash Sampat Kotwal (30), Aniket Suresh Kotwal (29), Santosh Ulhas Salunkhe (32), all residents of Haveli taluka.
According to the police, the complainant is a senior citizen and he has problems with his vision. He owns 11.60 R road touch land at Pimpri Sandas. The accused told the complainant that they are taking 5R land on rent for hotel business. They agreed to pay monthly rent of ₹25,000 and a deposit of ₹9 lakh. For registering the leave and licence agreement, they took him to sub-registrar office at Loni Kalbhor on February 15.
However, they took his signature on the sale deed instead of the leave and licence agreement. After the complainant came to know that he has been cheated, he approached the police. API Godse is probing the case.
