Pune: Vishal Agarwal’s troubles are increasing with every passing day. He is an accused in the hit-and-run case, in which his minor son allegedly ran his Porsche car over two IT engineers and killed them.

Now, an unauthorised bar and construction on the premises of a luxury MPG Club resort and hotel in Mahabaleshwar owned by Vishal Agarwal has been razed. An inquiry was launched into the illegal business following directives by CM Eknath Shinde by the State Excise Department, which sealed the bar. Later, the illegal building was demolished on Saturday (June 8).

It was found in the inquiry that it is a rented, residential property but it was being used for commercial purposes. MPG Club was then sealed and a hearing was conducted by the District Collector. Around 12 illegal rooms constructed at the property were flattened. The Mahabaleshwar Municipal Council took the action on Saturday morning.

CM Shinde, who is camping at his native village near Mahabaleshwar, was informed about the unauthorised building. When the media asked Shinde about the resort, he told them that he had issued orders to District Collector Jitendra Dudi to probe and take action. Thus Dudi conducted a hearing and action was taken.

The District Collector inquired into the original ownership of the property, its use, the construction permission, a bar and a spa. It was found that the bar being run in the hotel was illegal. Hence, the State Excise immediately sealed it for further investigation.
