Pune: The Young Man From Yewalewadi Faces Police Action Over Sexual Assault of Minor Girl

Pune: A shocking incident involving the rape of a minor girl took place in Kondhwa. In this case, a 19-year-old young man took the 16-year-old victim girl to her home, saying his mother had called her home to help his mother in cooking and sexually assaulted her. Further, he also threatened her to commit suicide and to harass her family if she told anyone about the incident. This whole incident took place between November 20, 2023, and December 7, 2023, at the residence of the accused.

In this case, a 16-year-old minor girl living in Kamthe Patil Nagar in the Kondhwa area filed a complaint against the accused at Kondhwa Police Station on Thursday, February 8. The accused is identified as Vivek Ramakrishna Nimkarde, 19, and is a resident of Yewalewadi, Kondhwa.

As per the information, the accused and the plaintiff are known to each other as they both reside in the same area. One day, when the girl was going to college, the accused came on his bike and asked the girl to go with him, saying his mother had called her home.

Believing the accused’s words, the girl sat on his bike and went to the accused’s home. To her surprise, no one was present at the accused’s house at that time. Soon after, the accused sexually assaulted and raped a minor girl and also physically assaulted her.

Furthermore, the accused threatened the girl against telling anyone about the incident. He threatened her to commit suicide and troubled her parents if she told anyone about this. After that, he left the girl at her home on his two-wheeler.

Gathering all her courage, the girl immediately reported the incident to Kondhwa police, appealing for strong action against the accused. Accordingly, police booked the accused under IPC 376, 323, and 506 under the POCSO Act. Assistant Police Inspector Babar of Kondhwa police station is conducting further investigation into the case.
