Pune: Shocking! Accused Exploits Minor Girl Luring False Marriage Proposal; Victim Filed Complaint

Pune: In Pune’s Wadki Nala area, a shocking incident of deceiving a minor girl after keeping a physical relationship with her and threatening her about sending her obscene, morphed photos to her brothers transpired. In this regard, a 16-year-old minor victim girl filed a complaint against the accused at Loni Kalbhor police station.

According to the information of the Investigating Officer Police Sub-Inspector Dhananjay Dabhade, the 16-year-old minor girl is originally a resident of Akkalkot taluka of Solapur district. She and the accused, Aditya Ramesh Birajdar, a resident of Latur, initially met on Instagram, and soon after they fell in love with each other.

After that, the accused lured her for marriage, and they started living in the Wadki Nala area of Pune on rent. In spite of having a clear idea of the girl being a juvenile, the accused, Birajdar, kept physical relations with her, luring her marriage promise.

However, after some time, when the girl asked him about the marriage, the accused refused to marry her. He further assaulted her and threatened her with showing morphed photos of her being with him to his brother and defaming her. He also astonishingly sent a fake wedding card and some of her obscene photos to her brother. This incident took place between July 2023 and November 2023.

Distressed by the latest happenings, the victim girl filed a police complaint against the accused at Loni Kalbhor police station. Based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation against the accused under sections of IPC 376/2/D, 323, 504, and 506 and under the POCSO Act.

In this regard, a further investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector of Police Dhananjay Dabhade.
