Pune Politics News | Our alliance is strong and we will win Baramati LS seat, says Chandrashekhar Bawankule
PUNE: Pune Politics News | BJP State unit Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, “Our alliance is strong and the winning candidate from Baramati LS seat will be from our alliance.” However, he did not announce the name of the candidate from Baramati.
Bawankule chaired a meeting to discuss BJP’s strategy for the LS poll. Speaking to media persons, he targeted the Congress Party and Uddhav Thackeray. He said the meeting was of BJP and it was not called to discuss seat allocation.
“Eknath Shinde will be the CM. The Congress is misleading the people. There is a lot of uneasiness in the Congress. It cannot decide who will be the leader of the opposition and this shows their confusion. When a leader of the opposition is appointed, he comes to BJP. Congress MLAs are worried about their future. They have realised that there is no option for PM Narendra Modi. We are ready to welcome those who want to join us. We will not approach anyone but if anybody wants to join us, we will not say no,” he added.
“Uddhav Thackeray’s mental health is a cause for worry and he needs to be admitted to a mental hospital. He should criticise opposition leaders on political issues but he launches personal attacks. Some MLAs and MPs who are with him will not stay with him for long. When Devendra Fadnavis was CM, he took care of Uddhav Thackeray a lot,” Bawankule added.
