Pune Police | Cracking Down on Criminal Activities: Pune Police Implements Stringent Measures

Pune : Pune Police | Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar has expressed deep concern over incidents of vandalism, shootings, and attacks involving machetes that stem from love affairs in the central area. In order to prevent the recurrence of such incidents, the police are implementing preventive measures and increasing their presence on the streets. The activation of Damini squads and an increase in armed beat marshals are among the steps taken. Damini teams have been deployed in schools, colleges, hostels, and classrooms to ensure safety.

On Saturday, Beat Marshal and Damini squads conducted a route march in the Vishram Bagh and Faraskhana police station areas to showcase their presence and maintain law and order.

To enhance security, strategic blockades will be imposed in the city during both daytime and nighttime. Vehicles such as Ola, Uber, and rickshaws will be subject to inspection. Close monitoring of all criminals is underway, with the installation of CCTV cameras in various locations to prevent juvenile delinquency. The number of Damini and Beat Marshals has been increased, and regular patrols of schools, colleges, malls, and women’s hostels have been instructed. Furthermore, combing operations will be conducted in areas where gangsters reside to suppress criminal activities.
