Pune News: Police MCOCA Action | Action taken against Ayush alias Bunty Chavan and his three accomplices under MCOCA; CP has taken action against 68 organised criminal gangs so far

PUNE: NpNews24 Online – Pune News | The police commissioner has taken action against notorious criminal Ayush alias Bunty Chavan who was operating in the limits of Chatuhshrungi police station and his three accomplices under MCOCA. Chavan had also attempted to kill a person with a sharp weapon after an argument over rash driving. So far, CP Ritesh Kumar has taken action against 68 organised criminal gangs. (Pune News)

An FIR has been registered at the Chatuhshrungi police station under sections 307, 326, 323, 341, 504 and 34 of the IPC, Arm Act and Maharashtra Police Act. The incident had taken place on September 11 at Achanak Mitra Mandal Chowk in Patrakar Nagar. The police had carried out an investigation and arrested Ayush alias Bunty Vitthal Chavan (21), a resident of Gokhale Nagar, Babu alias Baba Suryakant Dongre (19), a resident of Wadarwadi, Krishna Raju Pawar (19), a resident of Wadarwadi. Mayur alias Ganesh Sunil Vitkar, a resident of Wadarwadi, is absconding.

Gang leader Bunty Chavan had formed a gang of criminals and has committed serious crimes like attempt to murder, causing serious injury, dacoity and damaging private property, terrorising local residents, possessing sharp weapons and violating police orders etc.
Senior PI Balaji Pandhre had submitted a proposal of including sections 3 (1)(ii), 3(2) and 3(4) of the MCOCA in the FIR registered at the Chatuhshrungi police station to Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma through DCP Shashikant Borate. The addl CP examined the proposal and approved the proposal. ACP Arti Bansode is carrying out further probe.

The action was taken by Senior PI Balaji Pandhre, PI Ankush Chintaman, PI Jagannath Jankar, API Ratnadeep Gaikwad, policemen Amit Gadre and Suhas Pawar under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Shashikant Borate and ACP Arti Bansode.
