Pune: Harshvardhan Patil alleges threats by workers of alliance partner

Pune / Indapur: Former state minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Harshvardhan Patil has written a letter to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and requested them to rein in goondaism by party workers of an alliance partner.

He said, in the letter, that they are using arrogant and abusive language. They are threatening to restrict his movement in the taluka. Patil has requested the CM and DyCM to take concrete action against the goons.

The letter has once again exposed the differences between DyCM Ajit Pawar and Patil after the former’s joining of the ruling alliance.

The letter said, “Some office-bearers of the alliance partner in Indapur are stooping low and using arrogant and abusive language about me. They are also threatening that they would not allow me to move around in public places in the taluka. This is a serious matter. Hence, directives should be issued to take appropriate action against them.”
