Apart from Temghar dam, the other dams have recorded 30 per cent less rainfall. On Thursday from 6 am to 5 pm, Temghar recorded 9 mm, Varasgaon 3 mm, Panshet 2 mm and Khadakwasla 1 mm rain.

Mohan Bhadane, Deputy Divisional Engineer of Khadakwasla Irrigation Department, said, “The rainfall is less in the catchment area compared to last year. June was almost a dry month. Compared to the rainfall in Panshet and Varasgaon dams, it is raining more in the valley near the Raigad district. Hence, despite less rainfall, there is more water in the Khadakwasla reservoir system compared to last year.”
