Pune Crime News | Tragic Fire Claims Lives of Former Sarpanch and Wife in Aptale Sablewadi

Pune : Pune Crime News | In a heart-wrenching incident, the former sarpanch of Aptale Sablewadi, along with his wife, lost their lives due to smoke suffocation caused by a fire that broke out in their house at night. As news of the incident reached the local police, they swiftly responded and arrived at the former sarpanch’s residence.

 

According to the police, Maruti Bhau Sable and his wife were residing in Sablewadi, a small settlement in Aptale. As the electricity supply was disrupted during the night, Sable lit a lamp before retiring to bed. Unfortunately, the lamp caught fire, leading to a blaze that quickly engulfed their home. As the fire spread, the couple woke up and attempted to reach the bathroom to extinguish the flames. However, the house was filled with thick smoke, making it difficult for them to breathe. Tragically, both of them succumbed to smoke suffocation.

 

The police have commenced their investigation into the incident and are gathering additional information from the villagers. The victims have been identified as former sarpanch Maruti Bhau Sable, aged 83, and his wife Putabai Maruti Sable, aged 73.

 

This unfortunate incident has left the local community in shock and mourning. The former sarpanch was well-respected and had made significant contributions to the village during his tenure. The loss of two lives in this tragic accident has cast a somber mood over the entire Aptale Sablewadi area.
