Pune Crime News | Man arrested for raping a minor, orphan girl for five years
Pune : Pune Crime News | A rape involving a minor, orphan girl, who was staying with her maternal uncle, has been revealed. The rapist was threatening the victim and raping her for five years.
The arrested accused has been identified as Raghunath Borkar (51). A young woman has lodged a complaint at the Warje Malwadi Police Station.
Borkar has been booked under charges of rape and sexual abuse of a child. The complainant is an orphan. She was a minor when the incident happened. She was staying with her maternal uncle for studies. Borkar raped her by threatening from September 2018 to 2023. He also threatened to beat up her brother, damage her uncle’s house. He was taking advantage of her helplessness. Borkar used to get drunk while raping her. The victim got fed up with this and confided about this with her teacher in Karve Nagar. She called up her cousin, who asked her to approach the police.
