SHIRDI : ACB Trap On Traffic Police | An ACB team arrested a traffic constable for demanding a monthly bribe of ₹3,500 for allowing passengers to travel from Nagarsul to Shirdi in their vehicles and accepting it. An FIR has been registered against the traffic constable at the Shirdi police station.
The accused has been identified as Prakash Dashrath Pilore (police naik, posted at Shirdi town traffic branch). Police naik Prakash Pilore had told the complainant that he would have to give a monthly bribe of ₹3,500 for allowing him to ferry passengers in his three vehicles from Nagarsul to Shirdi.
Since the complainant did not want to pay a bribe, he lodged a complaint with the ACB. The complaint was verified. On June 13, 2023, the ACB laid a trap. Police naik Pilore accepted a bribe of ₹3,500 in the presence of panches opposite Shirdi police station. He was arrested after being caught red-handed accepting a bribe.
