Builder threatened of action and cheated of ₹51 lakh; FIR registered against two men

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | An FIR has been registered against two residents of Kondhwa at the Kondhwa police station for threatening to take action against ongoing construction projects of a Kondhwa-based builder and taking ₹51.5 lakh from him for various reasons and demanding an extortion of ₹3.5 lakh. The accused have been identified as Shafi Pathan and Sameer Pathan, both residents of Parge Nagar, Kondhwa. A 35-year-old builder in Kondhwa has lodged a complaint. From 2027 till now, the accused threatened him by visiting at his sites that action will be taken against him by building construction and revenue departments.

The accused took money on his birthday and for distribution of sarees on International Women’s Day and also for buying land. Accused Samir Pathan took money from the complainant to pay alimony to his wife. The accused told the complainant that they will withdraw the complaint against him and promised to get the civic body’s various permissions and will get his constructions regularised and demanded ₹40 lakh from him. Instead of regularising the complainant’s constructions, they used the money to buy an Innova car for their personal use.

The accused took ₹51.5 lakh from the accused and cheated him and demanded ₹3.5 lakh. They threatened him that they will not allow the complainant to carry out construction work. After the complainant lodged a complaint, an FIR was registered against Shafi Pathan and Samir Pathan.
