12-year-old boy drowns in Khadakwasla canal

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein one of the two boys who had gone for a swim in the Khadakwasla canal died due to drowning on Thursday in Vadgaon Budruk. The deceased has been identified as Lokesh Pravin Yevle (23), a resident of Vadgaon Budruk. (Pune Crime News)

On Wednesday at 2 pm, Lokesh’s friends had informed the fire brigade about the incident. The jawans of the fire brigade and the Sinhagad Road police arrived on the spot. They searched for Lokesh on a war footing. However, he could not be found. Lokesh had not been trace till sunset on Wednesday. A search was carried out at night also.

A search was launched for him on Thursday afternoon. Finally, at 4 pm, his body was found. A case of accidental death has been recorded at the Sinhagad Road police station.
