PM Modi Praised Yogi Adityanath Govt.’s Work, Claimed to Save 85 Thousand Lives From Corona

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the self-sufficient Uttar Pradesh Employment Campaign, said that I am confident that under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, the way disaster has turned into opportunity, the way he is trying, other states of the country will also learn a lot from this scheme, they will also get inspiration from it. PM Modi said that when there is such a big crisis of corona in the world today, then the courage that Uttar Pradesh showed, the wisdom it showed, the way it succeeded, the way it handled the situation, it is praiseworthy.

The Prime Minister said that whether it is UP’s doctors, paramedical staff, sanitation workers, policemen, ASHA, Anganwadi workers, bank and post-office colleagues, transport department partners, labor colleagues, everyone has fully contributed with it. The efforts and achievements of Uttar Pradesh are huge because it is not just one state, Uttar Pradesh is a bigger state than many countries of the world.

People of UP are realizing this achievement themselves, but if you know the figures then you will be shocked. The hard work that the government of UP has done, we can say that in a way, it has managed to save the lives of at least 85 thousand people. Today, if we are able to save the lives of our citizens, then it is also a matter of great satisfaction. All this happened when more than 30 lakh laborers, workers, colleagues from all over the country returned to their villages in UP in the last few weeks.

PM Modi said that by running hundreds of special trains, the UP government had managed to bring back its people stuck in trouble. In the circumstances of the kind of governance that was in place before 2017 in UP, in that situation, we cannot even imagine these results. Taking a dig at the Congress and other opposition parties, Modi said that had there been a previous government, they would have avoided this challenge by making excuses of number of hospitals, number of beds.

The Prime Minister said that Yogi ji, his government, understood the seriousness of the situation. He understood what was happening to such a large country, and he and his government worked on a war footing. Be it a quarantine center, a facility for isolation, they gave full strength to its construction. During the lockdown, the way the Yogi government has worked to ensure that the poor have no problem of food is also unprecedented.

Not only this, about 5 thousand crore rupees were also directly transferred to the Jan Dhan account of three and a quarter crore poor women of Uttar Pradesh. Be it the campaign to take India on the path of self-reliance at a fast pace or be it the poor welfare employment campaign, Uttar Pradesh is also moving ahead here. Under the Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan, many works are being started in villages to increase the income of workers. Out of this, about 60 lakh are being given employment in small industries i.e. MSME in schemes related to village development.

Apart from this, a loan of about 10 thousand crores has been allocated to thousands of entrepreneurs under the Mudra Yojana for self-employment. It shows how intensive the preparation of the Uttar Pradesh government has been, how extensive it has been, to identify the employees, the skill of more than 30 lakh workers, to prepare the data of experience and make proper arrangements for their employment. Now, under the Self-Reliant India Campaign, when clusters of industries are being created to promote such local products across the country, Uttar Pradesh will benefit immensely. The important Kushinagar airport has been declared an international airport in terms of Buddhist circuit. This will strengthen air connectivity in Purvanchal and crores of devotees who believe in Mahatma Buddha in the country and abroad will now easily come to Uttar Pradesh.
