PM Modi leads the “Most followed leader in the world” list

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – According to International public relations and communications firm, Twiplomacy study 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most followed world leader on Instagram with 14.8 million followers, followed by  Indonesian President Joko Widodo is second, and US President Donald Trump is third.

Apart from being the most followed, PM Narendra Modi can also boast of having the most liked photos among the world’s leaders. A photo he posted of his meeting with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma after their wedding was the most liked photo posted by a world leader this year.

Even the second most liked photo of a world leader belonged to PM Narendra Modi where he is standing at the bus stop in snowy Davos where he attended the World Economic Forum 2018.

PM Narendra Modi is also known to be the most “effective” world leader on Instagram, with every one of his 80 posts and videos from this year garnering 873,302 interactions on the photo-sharing app.

Pope Francis, Queen Rania of Jordan, and the Royal Family of the United Kingdom are some of the other Instagram accounts that figure in the list of the ten most followed world leaders.
