PM Modi inaugurates metro project in Mumbai 

KALYAN: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Maharashtra for a day-long visit to Mumbai and Pune, during which he inaugurated infrastructure and housing projects worth about Rs 41,000 crore in the state.

 He laid foundation stones for two metro projects in Kalyan, which includes Mumbai Metro’s Line-5 or the Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan and Dahisar-Mira-Bhayander Metro corridor. Later, he will travel to Pune where he would lay the foundation stone for another line of Pune Metro.

Not only this, Narendra Modi also inaugurated, the 90,000 houses project of the Prime Minister’s Awami Yojana, set up by CIDCO in Navi Mumbai.

Modi has succeeded in spreading his message in Marathi praising the contribution of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Saint Dyaneshwar Maharaj and Tukaram Maharaj.

Modi criticized Congress by mentioning “They promise something different and delivered something different”. He also added that “In four years, we have provided 1.25 million people houses. In that place, Congress would have taken 2 decades.”

According to a report, there is growth of house buyer.

In the meantime, Modi gave a brief overview of the many initiatives introduced by him. He also added that this project will reduce the traffic stress by 2022-2024 with 300km widespread network around Mumbai.

He also made sure he praised Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for his remarkable work done by him.

The Mumbai metro-5 is expected to carry around 2.29 lakh commuters daily in 2021 and the entire system has been designed for six-coach trains. The second Mumbai project, a 10.3 km elevated Dahisar-Mira Bhayander metro-9 corridor, would comprise eight stations. Metro-9 is expected to be completed by 2022, and the cost of the project is estimated at Rs. 6,607 crores. Currently, the Mira-Bhayander suburbs are connected to Mumbai via the suburban railways and after metro-9 corridor is built, commuters will be able to take metro up to Mira-Bhayander from south Mumbai.

The program was organized at Vasudev Balwant Phadke Maidan, Kalyan West. Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, as well as Union ministers, state cabinet ministers were present.
