Person terrorising people in Sinhagad Law College area with sickle nabbed

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | While the issue of cropping up of sickle gangs in the city was raised in the Legislative Assembly recently, two persons once again terrorised people in the area of Sinhgad Law College in Ambegaon with a sickle on Wednesday night. (Pune Crime News)

 

The person with the sickle in his hand was attacking people randomly. As soon as the police got to know about it, they reached the spot. They chased the person walking on the road with the sickle. The police caught him and beat him. The video of this entire incident went viral on Friday.

 

The culprits have been identified as Sujeet Raosaheb Gaikwad and Karan Dalvi, both from Vadgaon. Dalvi has been caught by the police. Atharva Sunil Ladke (20) from Ambegaon lodged a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. The police have registered a case of attempt to kill.

 

Karan and his companion came to the food street in front of the Law College in Ambegaon at around 10 pm. They initially started damging the bikes parked along the road. Then they entered a hotel and attacked a customer with the sickle. They came out and started attacking students walking on the road.

 

They hit a person with a plastic stool on his back.
Both of them terrorised people for about 20 to 25 minutes. As soon as the Sinhagad road police got to know about this, Marshal Dhananjay Patil and Akshay Ingawale immediately reached there.

 

Karan was walking on the street with the sickle in his hand. They tried to catch him on the bike. When he saw the police, he ran away. The police chased him and caught him. He was beaten with a stick. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

 

Such hooligans need to be reined in, said citizens.
