PDCC | Digambar Durgade is new Pune District Bank chairman, Sunil Chandere is vice-chairman

Pune : NpNews24 Online Digambar Durgade and Sunil Chandere have been elected unopposed as the chairman and the vice-chairman, respectively, of Pune District Credit Cooperative (PDCC) Bank.

 

Senior NCP leader and DCM Ajit Pawar has tried to strengthen the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency through these elections.

 

All eyes were set on the PDCC office-bearers’ election. The newly elected Board of Directors of the bank on Saturday held its first meeting at the PDCC Bank auditorium. It was chaired by Returning Officer and District Deputy Registrar (Rural) Milind Sobale. One nomination each was filed for the chairman’s and the vice-chairman’s post. Therefore, the election was declared unopposed.

 

Durgade has worked as the chairman of the bank earlier too. His election was expected due to his earlier experience and the bank’s vast network. While electing him, party leaders had the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency on their mind. Chandere is a young leader who has got the opportunity.

 

Ajit Pawar, State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Dairy Development Minister Dattatray Bharne, MLA Ashok Pawar, MLA Dilip Mohite Patil, Congress MLA Sanjay Jagtap were present for the election meeting. There are 17 NCP directors, two Congress directors and two BJP directors on the Board.

 

Speaking to the media after the election, Pawar said it has become very difficult to run cooperative banks in the current situation.
