No new water connections to be approved till further orders from PMC

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune PMC Water Supply Department | In recent times, it has been observed that the use of water has increased due to the harsh summer. Hence, it will not be right to sanction new water connections and in the present situation, till further orders are issued, no new connections will be approved, states a circular issued by Chief Engineer of PMC’s Waters Supply Department Aniruddh Pawaskar. Meanwhile, Pawaskar has also issued orders to all engineers, deputy and junior engineers that they should carry out a survey and if they find that water is being used by washing centres and at construction sites, they should take necessary action against the concerned people.
