Youth fires from pistol to create impression on friends; FIR registered against them at Haveli police station

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | An incident had taken place wherein a youth had fired from his licensed pistol in the Khadakwasla dam area to impress his friends. The Haveli police have registered an FIR against three people. (Pune Crime News)

 

The accused have been identified as Tejas Prakash Gondhale (29), a resident of Hadapsar, Ajinkya Bhanudas Modak (34), a resident of Fursungi and Chetan Machhindra More (24), a resident of Tukai Darshan.

Tejas Gondhale, Ajinkya Modak and Chetan More had to Sinhagad area for sightseeing. They had lunch at a restaurant in Manerwadi village near Pune-Panshet road. Later, they went near the dam. Tejas fired from pistol to create an impression on his friends.

 

A waiter in a restaurant informed the owner after he heard the sound of gunfire. The owner of the restaurant immediately informed the officials at the haveli police station. The police immediately reached the place but the trio had already left. However, the owner of the restaurant had noted the registration number of the car.

 

The police apprehended them based on the vehicle’s number and questioned them. It came to light that Tejas had fired from his licensed pistol. Based on a complaint lodged by the waiter, an FIR was registered against the trio by the Haveli police. The police have seized the pistol and allowed the trio to leave after issuing them a notice.

PI Sachin Wangde of Haveli police station is guiding PSI Rutuja Mohite in carrying out an investigation into the case.
