No bandh in Navi Mumbai and Thane: Maratha Kranti Morcha

The Maratha community has decided to stop the bandh in Thane and Navi Mumbai tomorrow (August 9). The coordinators of Maratha Kranti Morcha said that the frequent shut down is not suitable for the people in Thane and Maratha Navi Mumbai.

According to Maratha Morcha coordinators, the demand for reservation instead of following bandh they will be following ‘Thiyya Andolan’. So, tomorrow shops in Thane and Navi Mumbai will be opened.\

 A hearing regarding Maratha Reservation in Bombay High Court was held on August 7. The state government will submit its final report to the High Court by November 15, which will be set up to verify the financial and social status of the Maratha community for the Maratha reservation, the state government said in the High Court today.

The state government’s affidavit was submitted during the hearing of the Bombay High Court on August 7 for the issue of Maratha reservation.
