‘Night Life’ Got Sluggish Response, Streets of Mumbai Deserted without Customers

NP NEWS 24 : Mumbai : The plan of Night Life has started in Mumbai but this plan did not get special response from the people of Mumbai. B.K.C. And Nariman Point are commercial areas. As long as the offices are open, there are public seen in the area. In such situations, shops will remain open at night in both the areas but there will be shortage of customers. Several malls in Nariman Point and Worli areas remained closed at night. The state government believes that this scheme will gradually gain popularity as people are not yet fully aware of it.

People are not allowed to Drink Alcohol
The state government believes that the introduction of night life will provide employment to millions of people. However, people are not allowed to drink alcohol during night life. Also, residential areas will not get the benefit. Currently, 25 malls in Mumbai have been allowed to remain open for 24 hours. For this, many improvements have also been made in relation to security. The shops, hotels and restaurants will remain open at night, the arrangement of parking and CCTV will be mandatory. The proposal to start nightlife in Mumbai was passed in 2013, which was approved by the Mumbai Police Commissioner in 2015.

Only those who Follow Safety Rules can Open Shops at Night
Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray said that in a few weeks when people will feel that there is no danger in late night shopping, people will leave the houses. He said that shops that follow security rules are allowed to be opened at night. Thackeray reiterated that Mumbai is safe for all and will remain so. However, he said that the rule of opening shops, malls and restaurants round the clock is optional and not mandatory.
