NDA officers booked for intimidation, using obscene language with worker’s family for ‘missing’ Golf club  

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE-  An FIR has been registered against officers, personnel from the city-based National Defence Academy (NDA) who allegedly abused and intimidated family members of a storekeeper after a Golf Club went missing.

The 24-year-old worker from Kondhwe Dhawde has lodged the complaint with Uttamnagar police station. The FIR has been registered against Kailash Dhiwar of Samta Vihar, NDA campus, Raju Masurkar of Abhay Residency, Amit Sharma from NDA security office and three others.

According to police, the complainant works as contract worker with the NDA A Golf Club and he manages store. Once he was at home with the key of the store, as the NDA officers could not find other key to open the store they broke into the store and had taken out the Golf clubs. Later one club went ‘missing’ and they started  suspecting the complainant. They also took search of his house during which they abused and intimidated his family members and also used obscene language. The incident had taken place on July 13 this year.

Initially police had refused to take his complaint following which he had approached the court of a judicial magistrate (first class) court. The magistrate ordered the police to register the case and investigate the matter.

The accused persons have been booked for offences under sections 352, 170, 354,441,442,393,511,504,506,34,120a of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The National Defence Academy is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academies for further pre-commissioning training.
