Nagpur: 65-year-old cleaner murdered in a health care company

Nagpur: A 65-year-old man, Laxman Malik, a cleaner working in a company selling health care products, was murdered on intervening night of March 9, the police said.

According to the police, Malik worked as a cleaner in a health care company in Rajat Sankul building in front of Ganeshpeth Central Bus Stand. He is a native of Jaripatka and used to stay there after the office was closed. As usual, Malik stayed back in the office after everyone left on Monday. On Tuesday, when the staff returned, they found Malik lying in a pool of blood with his hands tied behind his back and marks of being stabbed in the neck with scissors.

The staff later informed Ganeshpeth police station. A convoy of Ganeshpeth police, Deputy Commissioner of Police Lohit Matani and Additional Commissioner of Police Navin Chandra Reddy rushed to the spot.

The police called forensic experts and a dog team at the spot and seized CCTV footages of the building. The police are searching for the accused and further investigating the case.
