In a Facebook post, Kartiki Shastry Lawate wrote, “Yesterday I caught the 7.45 Goregaon railway station- CST Station train from Goregaon station, and got down at Wadala Railway Station and then from there took the Panvel train. After getting down at Panvel I realised that I had forgotten my office laptop in the Goregaon- CST train, Immediately I went to the Railway police police at Panvel railway station who guided me properly to call on @1512 and @182 and there they registered my complaint with all details of what was in the bag and all.

I came home fully disturbed, within an hour I got call from the CST railway police station that they have found my bag and I can come and collect it.. They also insisted me on getting a male person as they were concerned about my safety too.. Early morning around 6.30am me and my brother Deodat Shastri reached CST railway police station and within half an hour we were given our bag back after small investigations and that too without @no bride .. I’m speechless – thank the police officers who supported me.. I would like to inform here all that if anytime you forgot anything in the train or anything is lost please call on 182 and 1512, these numbers are working.. 182 I got a better and faster response.. Special thanks to the Panvel Railway police officers, CST officers ASI Nalawade and Chawan.. Thanks to all the staff that was really well mannered … of course thanks to the unknown person who gave my bag to the police… Good people are still there in the world and in My Mumbai.. Thanks Railway police, Mumbai people.. all this without any media friends help, as a normal citizen of India i got it.”
