Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train ticket will cost Rs 3,000

Np News 24 Mumbai: The cost of the ticket of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious bullet train that will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be Rs 3,000, according to a PTI report. It is the first bullet train project in the country.
The report says that an official of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) informed that the cost of the bullet train ticket will be Rs 3,000.  The bullet train corridor will have 12 stations across its 508-km stretch between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
The report suggests that the project will be completed by 2023 and cost 1.08 lakh crore.  Around 45 per cent of land has been acquired for the project till now.  The official further stated that after the completion if the project, the bullet train will make a total of 70 trips daily between 6 am till 12 am on the route.
There will also be an under sea tunnel near Mumbai for the bullet train.  The project has been decided into 27 packages. The tenders for four of these have been awarded already.  Other tenders will also be awarded soon.
The work for the project will begin in March-April next year, as per the report. The bullet train will be the first bullet train in the country.  The bullet train will be 750-seater train.  The project was inaugurated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
